The Archive on the history of women in Switzerland holds the sources for women’s history, in particular the history of Swiss women in general as well as the Swiss feminist movement specifically.

The Gosteli Foundation tries to facilitate research into women’s history in Switzerland, to encourage knowledge about the situation of women in Switzerland and their work in the most diverse areas and to provide recognition of the achievements of women in the historical process. It is important to the Foundation to show that the feminist movement (probably the largest and most widely diversified social movement of the 20th century) has its justified place in general history. All of this is with the intention of consolidating women’s self-confidence through knowledge of their common history.
